The Concrete Bed

13 Jul

I hear a gasp
and smell the blood
a warm and liquid fume

My nostrils creamy
with the sense
my neurons suddenly bloom

Where am I now
I think to myself
realizing I´m on the ground

The concrete hard
against my face
that no longer seems so round

I notice tree tops
hovering
as if part of the sky

I fly above
and see myself
on the road about to die

A sense of wonder
spread throughout
my body feels so cold

A sudden shake
and lights are out
I let the end unfold

Thank you so much for your kind words Jingle 🙂 It was one of those poems that appeared almost by itself upon looking at the photo.

I love your interpretation of the prompt – you have written it from a human perspective and in a very unusual and interesting manner – way to go !!

Thanks so much Mish! I am really happy that you like it. I just read your entry on week 3 as well, and I love the dream story and the panicky feelings that you describe. Thanks 🙂
